TERMITES

Termites. It’s incredible to witness the damage such a small creature can inflict. With an amenable climate for these pests, Texas is highly prone to termites and the infestations that can come with them. They can eat your home from the inside out, causing problems that can start as cosmetic and wind up as structural. Three species inhabit Texas, winged termites, subterranean termites, and dry termites being the most prolific. The best way to know if your home is safe is to get a professional inspection. We recommend having your home inspected by a professional once a year. We also offer pre-construction treatments that help ward off termites from day one. 855Bugs has been helping people in the Waco and Temple area manage termites for over 10 years! Schedule a FREE Inspection, we’d be happy to help ensure termites never threaten your home or livelihood.

RODENTS

Mice, rats, and other rodents are extremely resourceful and persistent creatures. Did you know a mouse can squeeze through an opening as small as ½ inch? And, don’t think you’re safe because that hole is only ¼ inch. They can easily chew through many surfaces to make that hole large enough to sneak through. Rats are excellent swimmers. While it certainly doesn’t happen often, rats can swim through sewer lines and wind up in your toilet bowl.

Book an inspection and save $100 on wildlife control services!

With the temps cooling outside, like many of us, you may be making your homes warm and cozy with the smell of baked goods drifting in the air. Unfortunately, mice and rats enjoy the same comforts we do in the wintertime. They find their way into our homes to escape the cold, and our holiday goodies are the food source of their dreams.

Many times, rats and mice will find a way in through an opening in your roofline. From there, they will settle in and build their nests in the attic, walls, or anywhere else they can find to hide. Once inside, these rodents can be difficult to get rid of and can spread diseases and contaminate food and other items in your home.

If you suspect mice or rats in your home or want to take preventative measures, we can help. Book a free inspection for rodents today, and receive a $100 coupon for rodent exclusion services!

HOW MUCH DO MICE EAT?

Although they are small creatures, mice eat between 15 and 20 times a day! They will try to build their nests near food sources to keep up with their big appetites!

HOW HIGH CAN MICE JUMP?

Mice are able to jump about a foot into the air! This allows them to easily climb onto counters or tables in order to reach food.

ARE MICE NOCTURNAL?

Most house mice are active at night, but that is because people living in the home are less active then! Mice are not technically nocturnal. They will adjust their active times based on when their predators are least active!

HOW SMART ARE RATS?

Rats have brain cells that help them to remember locations. They are able to memorize a route after using it just one time! They will typically scout out your home, determining the best routes to food and water sources, considering alternate routes as well!
